❤ Rainbows Galore! ❤

Another day at the ‘office’ for me! Getting ready for another face painting teaching session in Leicester I restocked my homemade one strokes and rainbow cakes.

blog four

Absolutely adore this colour combo:

Cameleon Bollywood pink (my absolute favourite colour!), TAG magenta, Cameleon banana yellow, TAG lime green, FAB deep ocean, DFX essential blue

And once the paints are made up, this is what can be done! The possibilities are endless – rainbow butterflies, one stroke rainbows, rainbow fairies and more! Embellishing/ texturing designs with stencils makes them look extra special. This star stencil is made by BAM.

Can’t wait to create some new face painting designs for my next face painting training session, coming up really soon! Bye for now, livi signature

Teaching my very first face painting workshop!!

Last month I taught my first ever workshop. I was invited to be 1 of 2 tutors at Face Paint BOOTCAMP – an incredible, intensive one day training session in Belfast, Northern Ireland, organised by Stacey Kilpatrick of S.A.K. Designs. 30 participants were divided into 2 groups for two back-to-back 3 hour workshops (with a lovely leisurely lunch in between!) It was an absolute honour and privilege to be ‘billed’ alongside the phenomenal Teresa Mullin.

Leading up to the workshop I was so so nervous! I’d never taught before and always dismissed it as something beyond my capabilities. Every time I thought about it I felt sick with nerves, terrified I’d be no good! BUT somehow I managed to ignore those voices of crippling self-doubt and I DID IT and I loved it!! The feedback given afterwards was amazing and unbelievably heart-warming (see below photos), proving that my nerves were totally unfounded. I couldn’t have hoped for a more wonderful, positive first experience of teaching 😀

ONE STROKE for ONE MONTH – Days 1-6

Next month I am teaching my very first workshop – in Northern Ireland! In preparation I am creating different one stroke designs every day – practising my technique and rediscovering the endless possibilities one can create with one strokes! I simply adore this method of painting, with its mouthwatering array of colour combinations, and the effortless blending effect achieved with one stroke of the brush ❤ Here’s to the next 24/25 days!!

¸✶*✫ Caterpillar to Butterfly¸.✶¨*✶

So super excited about this project!! ❤❤❤

Instead of just one belly painting at the end of the pregnancy, I will be doing a series of paintings throughout the pregnancy, documenting the ever-increasing bump ❤ My stunning model is the most sunny, wonderful lady and I’m so grateful to have met her and be working with her! We chose to paint the progression of a caterpillar via the chrysalis into a butterfly, which lends itself perfectly to this concept. Here are the first photos of Alison at 18 weeks ❤❤❤

Face and Body art @ Leicester Uni

Photos from last years Freshers’ Fair, a little belatedly! Arm painting is always massively popular at the University – I’m told it’s a welcome, creative and colourful juxtaposition to business and law lectures 🙂 Looking forward to several more dates at the uni coming up – watch this space for photos!
