Every day for a month I planned to paint a new design using “one stroke” technique. One stroke involves the use of “stripey” paints (see some of the images below and previous post). With a 3/4″ flat brush it is possible to pick up multiple colours at once, and with one motion create an effortless blending effect. Here are days 7-12.
Next month I am teaching my very first workshop – in Northern Ireland! In preparation I am creating different one stroke designs every day – practising my technique and rediscovering the endless possibilities one can create with one strokes! I simply adore this method of painting, with its mouthwatering array of colour combinations, and the effortless blending effect achieved with one stroke of the brush ❤ Here’s to the next 24/25 days!!
Absolutely loved painting these one stroke roses all over the legs of Leicester last Tuesday evening at Streetlife nightclub. Had such an amazing night – 3.5 hours non-stop!
Rainbows are quite possibly my favourite thing to paint! I love to improvise and create unique different designs on the spot. Here are two fairly recent creations.
The left was a girl at a Pride event.
The right was a little boy who wanted me to paint his dreams being eaten by nightmares!!
