❤Face painting classes 1-2-1 in Candyfloss Castle❤

Absolutely fallen in love with teaching face painting!
Just taught a wonderful, talented lady in 2 sessions and had such an amazing time. We worked on teardrops, tiger stripes, one stroke flowers, double-dipping and much much more! Sample faces were used to illustrate how these techniques can be used in a design. She even wrote a super sparkly review for me!!  Thank you Jane
“Today was my last face painting lesson with Livi, I am so sad it’s over. It’s been great. Livi is amazing, such a natural talent, fabulous teacher and wonderful person. I feel so lucky to have been taught by Livi and would recommend her to anyone who is just starting out and wants to know the basics, or if you have experience but would like to really refine your techniques. I couldn’t recommend Livi highly enough.”

Teaching my very first face painting workshop!!

Last month I taught my first ever workshop. I was invited to be 1 of 2 tutors at Face Paint BOOTCAMP – an incredible, intensive one day training session in Belfast, Northern Ireland, organised by Stacey Kilpatrick of S.A.K. Designs. 30 participants were divided into 2 groups for two back-to-back 3 hour workshops (with a lovely leisurely lunch in between!) It was an absolute honour and privilege to be ‘billed’ alongside the phenomenal Teresa Mullin.

Leading up to the workshop I was so so nervous! I’d never taught before and always dismissed it as something beyond my capabilities. Every time I thought about it I felt sick with nerves, terrified I’d be no good! BUT somehow I managed to ignore those voices of crippling self-doubt and I DID IT and I loved it!! The feedback given afterwards was amazing and unbelievably heart-warming (see below photos), proving that my nerves were totally unfounded. I couldn’t have hoped for a more wonderful, positive first experience of teaching 😀

ONE STROKE for ONE MONTH – Days 1-6

Next month I am teaching my very first workshop – in Northern Ireland! In preparation I am creating different one stroke designs every day – practising my technique and rediscovering the endless possibilities one can create with one strokes! I simply adore this method of painting, with its mouthwatering array of colour combinations, and the effortless blending effect achieved with one stroke of the brush ❤ Here’s to the next 24/25 days!!

#BACKINGTHEBLUES

I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Leicester City’s victory than to offer a free bump painting to a massive football fan! Loved painting this one, and including her little one in the photos was both wonderful and tricky in equal measure! 🙂

❤ Rainbow arm art ❤

Rainbows are quite possibly my favourite thing to paint! I love to improvise and create unique different designs on the spot. Here are two fairly recent creations.

The left was a girl at a Pride event.
The right was a little boy who wanted me to paint his dreams being eaten by nightmares!!
