Taster | Fundamentals of Face Painting!

Good afternoon! After a chat with a friend recently about my face painting training, I’ve decided to have a little re-jig of how I structure the lessons. The aim is to make the classes more accessible for more people – financially and creatively!

I am now offering a Taster session – ‘The Fundamentals of Face painting’ – for those of you brand new to face painting or for people who just want to try out a new fun creative activity!

This session is one hour long and can be taught 1-2-1 or in small groups of up to 4 people. The focus will be on tear drops, swirls and dots –  of which most face painting designs are comprised – and we’ll put these into practise using a butterfly and spiderman designs!

My taster session can then be followed up with an intermediate class – entitled ‘Tiger’ – where we’ll look at achieving the perfect tiger stripe! We’ll also look at ‘double dipping’ (how to create two tone petals) and start to utilise ‘one stroke’ painting. To contextualise your new skills we’ll create a Tiger face and a princess.face painting lesson 2 no price

In addition to these two sessions, I will then be offering a 2 x 2 hour ‘one stroke’ painting class! You will learn what brushes to use, how to load them, and how to create flowers, leaves and fantasy creatures!

The first part of this face painting class will look at one stroke flowers and one stroke leaves, which can be used to create beautiful eye designs and arm art. You’ll then have a choice of what you’d like to create: unicorn, dolphin, snake and dinosaur.

Face painting training – 1-2-1 in Leicester

It’s been a while! I’ve been busy busy painting things that don’t wash off and shifting my focus to teaching face painting.

Training ladies to face paint is something I love doing! We work on a 1-2-1 basis from my home in Clarendon Park, Leicester and concentrate mainly on brush technique and one stroke painting. In my sessions we cover tear drops, double dipping, tiger stripes, one stroke flowers and princess crowns, butterflies, tigers, spiderman, hulk etc etc I can tailor my sessions to what my client is looking to learn.

There’s nothing more heart-warming than seeing someone who has never really painted before suddenly be able to produce a one stroke flower and perfect tear drops!

Rainbow clown – from board to face!

A little while ago the designer of FAB wipeable boards kindly donated me some of her boards to play with! I wasn’t sure at first due to the texture obviously being different from skin, and the paint does take a long time to dry on them, but now I absolutely love them! They’re awesome for planning and creating new designs and an amazing tool for teaching face painting.

insta rainbow mandalaThis is one of my favourite designs I’ve ever done, albeit pretty simple! Loooove the rainbow colours and mandala inspired design, and loved it even more when I got to paint it on my beautiful pink-haired sister, with a colourful clown twist!
