Having spent the last couple of months painting mandalas on vinyl records, I’ve been inspired to introduce this style into my face painting doodles. I tend to paint my arms and legs when I’m at an event and it’s reeeeeally quiet! Here’s an arm and a leg I painted recently.
I used the same colour combination on both designs as I just love this contrast! (Need to try with a different combo next time!) These are homemade one strokes with all TAG colours except Cameleon Bollywood pink.
Black, Purple, Bollywood pink, White and Teal, Light Green, White
Last Saturday I had a marathon face painting session at the University of Leicester, who were holding a fun day for the families of the Psychology and Medical Science departments. I painted for 5 hours non-stop & managed only a couple of photos, my favourite being this little cutie!
Her lovely mum also sent me the photo below, which I absolutely adore! Love our smiles and love my jaunty banner put up for me by the friendliest, most accommodating event managers I’ve encountered 😁
Such a lovely day, albeit incredibly busy, and the only food I ate for 5 hrs was some freshly made popcorn donated to me by one of the mums! Really lovely people all round, and really grateful to all the mums who kept telling their children to “stand back & give the lady some space” without any prompting from me!😍💜🌈
Last week on a very very wet day in Whetstone, Leicester I painted at a big bank holiday pub event, alongside magicians, animals, bouncy castles and live music! The relentless rain did not deter the crowds and I was non-stop for 5 hrs, one of the busiest face painting events I’ve ever done! I managed to take a couple of photographs before it got manic, and I was sent the photos of me painting and me with the little rainbow girl by her lovely mum!
Face painting in progress! After applying the rainbow base I work around the driest areas first with white tear drops, creating a butterfly shape.
Voila! The finished face and a happy customer 🙂
Below are 2 more little cuties – a butterfly using TAG unicorn colour combo, and an Elsa-inspired design – both using one stroke. I just love these colours and their smiles!
Just to prove I do paint boys too, here’s the birthday boy from yesterday’s party in Leicester! Absolutely loved face painting this little hulk at his 5th birthday party – such a cutie! Love his little upsidedown badge. Love his little shirt. And I love that you can’t see his neck in the photo so it kind of looks like he’s wearing a mask/ his face is super-imposed! ❤
And here’s me face painting the birthday boy!
